PALMA SCORED, FUTSAL DINAMO DID NOT, AND AGAINST DOBOVEC THEY ARE CHASING THE ELITE ROUND

Dinamo will not remember the opening of the Main Round of the Champions League in Palma de Mallorca in the best light. The European champion won 9-1 at home, and Futsal Dinamo will look for a place in the Elite round against Dobovac on Thursday (4:30 p.m.) or Romanian United Galati on Saturday (4:30 p.m.). We need one win to qualify. Hopefully, tomorrow, against the champion of Slovenia.

Although Palma Futsal recorded an excellent 9-1 victory, we will honestly admit it was fully deserved. We should note that Futsal Dinamo played an equal first half in which they created chances but also duly missed. At the same time, Palma showed an enviable efficiency level and used every, even the most minor, error of the Blues. In the continuation of the game, the winner was already decided, and, aware of the importance of tomorrow’s game, the intensity of Dinamo’s game also dropped.

The match was accompanied by great cheering from about 70 Dinamo fans who, despite the negative result, outvoted the more numerous home supporters with a 40-minute cheer. We thank them for their support and coming to the beautiful Spanish island.

Matija Đulvat opened the premier away game in the Champions League for our club with Anto Piplica in goal, Tihomir Novak in the last position, Kristian Čekol and Luka Čop in the back positions, and Mihovil Prgomet as a pivot.

Dinamo entered the match openly and evenly, but Palma scored from their first serious shot in the second minute. Mario Rivillos played past Marcelo, who diagonally checked Anta Piplica from the right side to give Palma the lead.

Dinamo almost immediately equalized. Antonio Konsuo took the ball away from the opponents and fired a powerful shot, but Luan Muller was safe. The Blues played with high pressure and a lot of running, and they continued to threaten through Filip Novak, Mateo Mužar, and Nikola Gudasić. However, such a game brought us four fouls in the first five minutes.

After the dominance of the Blues in the first five minutes, Palma Futsal responded in the sixth and scored the second goal immediately. Manuel Piqueras Dolera was the scorer after an excellent combination. After the conceded goal, Dinamo started to threaten again. Luka Čop shook the crossbar, Tihomir Novak shot a little near the goal, and the young Čop attempted another shot.

This was one of those games in which Dinamo threatened, and the rival team scored a goal from every mistake of Dinamo players. In the 8th minute, Piqueras took the ball, rushed towards Piplica, and checked him to give Palma a 3-0 lead. A minute later, Bruno Gomes took advantage of another mistake by Dinamo’s defense and scored 4-0. Dinamo was creating chances, and Palma was scoring goals…

After the fourth goal, the game was settled. Only at the end of the first part did both teams threaten again. On Dinamo’s side, Patrik Pasariček, Luka Čop, and Kristian Čekol were in a good mood today, and Fabinho missed a good chance for Palma’s fifth goal. However, Palma scored the fifth goal in the last second of the half. Rivillos shot, and Marcelo deflected the ball into the net.

Palma Futsal went to the break with a 5-0 lead, but if we look at the big chances, a more realistic result would be 5-5.

The beginning of the second part was a mirror image of the first. The newly minted world champion Neguinho scored after 20 seconds to give Palma a 6-0 lead, and soon Pasariček had a great chance, but instead of hitting the net, he hit the goalpost. The second for Dinamo in the game. Palma realized its chances, but Dinamo didn’t.

But when Dinamo’s players couldn’t score, Palmina’s could, even into their net, if necessary! Dinamo scored the first goal in the 27th minute after Filip Novak took a corner, and the ball bounced off Matheus Maija into his net for 6-1. The hope for a miracle lasted only a short time, only two minutes. In the 29th minute, Petreca took advantage of the weaker reaction of Dinamo’s defense and scored another six points for Palma. The same player scored the eighth goal for Palma four minutes before the end from a brilliantly performed free kick.

Until the end of the game, Đulvat tried the game with the goalkeeper-goalkeeper, and Palma reached the final result in the last seconds of the game through Bruno Gomes.

We want to thank all the fans again for their support and great cheering throughout all 40 minutes. We look forward to tomorrow’s match against the Slovenian champion, Dobovec.
