Commenting and behavior rules

COMMENTING AND BEHAVIOR RULES

1. Respect

All community members must show mutual respect. Every interaction should be honest and polite, regardless of differences in opinion or perspective.

Each person has the right to their opinion. Different points of view should be accepted as an opportunity for constructive discussion, not an occasion for conflicts or attacks.

Insulting, discriminating, belittling, or hating any person or group based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or any other personal attribute will not be tolerated.

Do so constructively if you want to criticize others’ views or opinions. Instead of attacking a person, focus on arguments and ideas.

Try to understand other people’s perspectives. Empathy can help reduce misunderstandings and encourage a more positive atmosphere.

If you disagree with someone, try to discuss the differences in a civilized manner. Conflicts can be resolved by dialogue, not by attacks.

Use positive and uplifting language. Belittling or underestimating other community members creates a toxic atmosphere that is unwelcome.

2. The relevance

All comments and posts should follow the current topic of discussion or the question posed. Members are responsible for ensuring that their input contributes to the debate.

The moderator may remove comments that are not related to the topic, including inappropriate digressions, ads, or content.

Try to keep the conversation focused on essential aspects of the topic. Please consider starting a new discussion to divert the discussion to a different topic.

Please link your comment to the source or event being discussed. This may help others to understand the context of your comments.

If you feel that additional information is essential to the topic, please feel free to share it, but try to make it relevant and valuable for all participants.

Before posting a comment, consider how it fits into the current discussion. Questions and comments should further enrich the discussion, not impede it.

3. The arguments

Expressing your views and opinions is welcome, but you should support them with solid arguments, facts, or experiences. This adds to the seriousness of the discussion and enables others to understand your point of view better.

Cite sources or a reference when possible when making claims or data. This ensures the credibility of your arguments and makes it easier for others to familiarize themselves with the topic.

Please try to be constructive with your comments. Instead of criticizing others for no reason, they offer alternative solutions or additional information to move the discussion forward.

Try to understand the different perspectives and arguments presented. Instead of dismissing other people’s views, think about them and how they relate to your opinion.

Keep your comments clear and to the point. Avoid vague or ambiguous terms that could lead to misunderstandings. A clear argument is easier to understand and debate.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Even when you don’t agree with someone, please show respect for their point of view. A constructive discussion of different perspectives can enrich a community.

Focus on arguments and ideas rather than personal attacks. Criticism should refer to the expressed views, not the person representing them.

4. No abusive language

The use of vulgar language, profanity, or inappropriate expressions is strictly prohibited. Such language can create a hostile atmosphere and deter members from participating in the discussions.

All comments should be made in a civilized manner. Disrespecting, attacking, or insulting other members will not be tolerated. Discussion should be focused on ideas, not people.

8. The sources

When sharing information, news, or data, always cite sources to ensure accuracy and confidence in your statements. This helps maintain high standards of integrity within the community.

Use trustworthy sources. Avoid sharing information from unverified or questionable sources that may spread fake news or misinformation.

Include different sources, such as newspaper articles, research papers, professional blogs, or official sites. Providing more than one source to back up your claims is always good.

In addition to citing the source, provide context for the shared information. Please explain why the source is relevant and how it applies to the discussion.

Never appropriate another’s ideas or content without proper attribution. Plagiarism is not acceptable and can lead to severe repercussions within the community.
