The season in Hungary is coming to an end, and Josipa says about it:

It’s good, but it can always be better. The playoffs have started, we played the quarter finals, which, like all the matches for placement here, is played for three wins. Unfortunately, we lost and now play in a group of 5-8. the place. We start against Vasas II in three weeks, and until then we are working on recovery, strength…

Is it part of the club’s plans at the beginning of the season or…?

I don’t know what to say. There were no plans, if we don’t count that you always want to win every match. We had a rather turbulent season. Not everything was good regarding the roster; not all the players we needed came. We also had a change of coach, even the gym… So, this is a reality at the moment: We were 6th at the end of the regular season.

And your game, how are you satisfied with it?

With the obligatory remark that it can always be better, I’m quite satisfied. I got the role of the main scorer in the team, and I do about 4-5 points per set, and I can’t complain. Unfortunately, it could have been better in the quarterfinals. Like the whole team, we lost a bit at the end, even though we had a great start to the series. But, all in all, it’s a new experience for me, and I’m satisfied.

Life in Hungary is not easy if you don’t know the language…

It isn’t easy; I only know a few words here and there. As in some other areas, the club doesn’t even have players from the Balkans, so communication is exclusively in English. But it also contributes to my independence, both as a toy and as a person.

Therefore, he will arrive at the summer preparations of the Croatian national team entirely with confidence.

I sincerely hope so. The season has been okay so far, and I believe it will be like that until the end. Even though I had a different role on the national team until now, I was more focused on receiving serves. Here, I am a scorer, but I did not let a single volleyball element be neglected, so he believes that I am generally in better shape than last year.
I am looking forward to the reunion of the national team, we communicate during the club season, but it is entirely different when we see each other live. I hope we will complete the qualifications for the European championship as much as we started. I also believe that we can make it to the Final Four of the Golden European League,” Josipa said at the end, adding that she also follows the Croatian Superliga, watches a few matches, and that by the summer she intends to earn a bachelor’s degree at the International Faculty of Management and Economics in Slovenia.
