Dario Marinović has announced the end of his representative career
The captain and the best scorer in the history of the Croatian futsal team decided to say goodbye to his favorite jersey after the World Cup in Uzbekistan.
It’s not easy to say goodbye to the national team because it’s the biggest honor I’ve had during my long career. I had the good fortune to wear the sacred jersey more than a hundred times and I will forever remember every performance and those wonderful moments. Thank you to all teammates, selectors, members of the staff, leading people of the Croatian Football Association and people in logistics, as well as all the fans of the Croatian futsal national team for these wonderful fifteen years. I am leaving the national team, but it will always have its biggest fan in me, said Dario Marinović.
Thank you to Dario for everything he did for the Croatian futsal team. He was an indispensable part of many great results, he made us indebted with his games and his attitude towards the national team. His experience was of utmost importance, especially in the context of setting an example for young players. I believe that we will continue to meet at our matches and that he will be with the national team with all his heart, said the coach Marinko Mavrović.
