Based on the decision of the CBF Board of Directors, the Croatian Basketball Association is proud to announce that the Basketball Training Center has been successfully established. This institution for adult education in sports, one of whose primary goals is to raise the quality of coach education in cooperation with external partners through the implementation of a training program for basketball coaches, has been successfully established. In addition to the training and development programs, CEC will implement informal education programs for other basketball actors and employees.
In addition to already implemented initiatives such as holding specialized camps for coaches and players, the Croatian Basketball Association continues with activities aimed at improving all of its activities.
The implementation of the adult education program for the acquisition of the 1st level basketball coach micro qualification is expected to begin at the beginning of 2025. At this moment, it is possible to send a pre-application to attend this training program, which represents the basic level of training for performing professional basketball tasks.
Candidate pre-applications should contain the following information:
- candidate’s first and last name,
- birth date,
- short sports resume,
- and they are sent to the e-mail address cik@hks-cbf.hr.
The conditions that candidates must meet to be able to attend the adult education program to obtain the 1st level basketball coach micro qualification are as follows:
- minimum three- or four-year secondary school completed,
- at least 18 years old,
- at least five (5) years of active basketball practice,
- medical certificate of occupational medicine or sports medicine on health fitness for a level 1 basketball trainer,
- specific motor skills, knowledge, and skills from the basics of basketball,
- The adult education program for acquiring the 1st level micro-qualification of basketball coach will be conducted through classes for 200 hours, and the entire class will be held in Zagreb.
After completing the program, the participants receive a certificate of acquisition of the 1st level basketball coach micro-qualification, which is entered in the e-workbook.
The dates of the classes and all the necessary details about implementing the education program will be published later after we collect a sufficient number of pre-registrations (at least 20 candidates).
